Man City transfer target Ibrahim Mbaye is on the market this summer, according to reports in the French media.
Foot Mercato claim that Paris Saint-Germain are “open” to offloading the teenager, which could spark a scramble for his signature before the transfer window closes.
Tottenham, Aston Villa, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have all been credited with an interest in Mbaye.
However, Footmercato believe that the Cityzens have also “added” his name to their shortlist of targets as they look to bring in another winger.
What do fans need to know about Mbaye?
The 18-year-old was born in France, and he came through PSG’s youth system before making his senior debut against Le Havre in August 2024.
Mbaye has subsequently gone on to make 44 appearances for the first team, scoring 4 goals and contributing 4 assists.
Even though he played for France at youth level, he decided to switch allegiance to Senegal last November, getting his first senior cap during a friendly against Brazil.
At the World Cup, Mbaye scored in the opening game against France in a 3-1 defeat, before making three further appearances as his country were knocked out by Belgium in the round of 32.

Why do Man City want to sign him?
Head coach Enzo Maresca does have the likes of Antoine Semenyo, Jeremy Doku and Savinho to call upon as options out wide.
However, there are doubts over Savinho’s long-term future. He was heavily linked with a transfer to Tottenham last summer, and the Brazilian could well be the subject of another bid from Spurs.
If he does leave the Etihad, then Director of Football Hugo Viana needs to have a replacement lined up, and it appears Mbaye is under consideration. He generally plays on the right wing, but he can be deployed off the left flank if needed.
