Arsenal are expected to be without Piero Hincapie for their Champions League fixture against Lille this week.
The Gunners secured all three points over Leeds on Saturday in a crucial 2-1 fightback.
It was a hard fought battle as their opponents took the lead first but Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimaraes scored to win the match.
Mikel Arteta‘s side are now preparing for the visit of Ligue 1 side Lille and their inaugural home game of the 2026/27 Champions League campaign.
Arteta will be determined to go one step further in the continental competition this year, following their loss in the final to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the Gunners boss has had a nightmare as Hincapie had to be carried off the pitch during Arsenal‘s post-match warm down following their win over Leeds.
The defender, who started their opening 1-0 Champions League win over Napoli last month, was seen clutching his right ankle following his eight-minute appearance, after replacing Riccardo Calafiori in the 82nd minute.
The Ecuador international could now become the third player unavailable to Arteta through injury after his latest blow.
The severity of his injury is not yet known and doubt has been cast over his involvement in this week’s meeting with Lille.
Additionally, Christos Tzolis suffered a hamstring injury while away with Greece and William Saliba has not played for the Gunners this season due to a long-term back injury.
Lille are currently second in Ligue 1 and beat Le Havre 1-0 at the weekend.
But Davide Ancelotti’s side lost their European opener 3-2 to Real Betis last month.

Arsenal v Lille: Team’s form
Ancelotti’s side have had an inconsistent start to the season, losing their first Champions League game.
However, Lille have collected a respectable six points from their last three Ligue 1 games, overcoming Troyes and Le Havre.
Currently, they are one point off leaders Monaco at the top of the Ligue 1 table after Les Monegasques drew with Toulouse.
However, a bad omen looms for Ancelotti as Lille have lost their last eight away games against English clubs.

Arsenal v Lille: Who will stand out?
After Arsenal’s crucial 2-1 comeback against Leeds, Arteta took the chance to praise Noni Madueke following a productive display.
He said: “I’m really happy with him because he deserves the chance that he got and he grabbed it with both hands.
“So when I haven’t liked so much what he was doing or it wasn’t impacting the game, I made certain decisions, he has accepted them.
“What he’s done is raised the level and in training he’s been the best player in the last 10 days and he gave me an option not to select him and not to play him today and you could see that every time he was in and around the ball, he looked it as well.”
On Guimaraes’ performance against Leeds, Arteta added: “I think all the players that were on the bench today expected to start because they’ve been doing so well for the national team.
“That’s what we have to manage, I have to manage. The reality as well is that he went to Australia, then to India.
“He’s not still in the best condition because he hasn’t had a pre-season, so we thought when the players that are more settled here, if we have to bring him in and change the game, do it.
“We play again on Tuesday night and then on Sunday, so we know that it’s going to be a lot of demands for everybody, so we manage that one.”
